Headed towards Abilene, then on to Muleshoe which is NW of Lubbock, Texas. I don't have many pictures of Texas because it is kind of like trying to take a picture in Alaska. It is to BIG. You just have to experience it!
We stay off of the freeways as much as possible. All of the back roads have been good roads. Most of them have cemeteries about every 3-5 miles. Some are visible from the road and some are down long side roads. Wishing we had a little jeep or something so we could go take a peek! Most of the rest stops in Texas do not have bathrooms, could be a little concerning if you were in a car! This is the third year of a drought for central Texas, most all river beds and ponds are dry. Such a different view of things after living in Oregon all my life!
We passed a billboard in Snyder, Texas and both of us were laughing and saying "did you see that!?!" It was solid black with white letters. Across the top it said DON'T MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE!! In the bottom right it was signed GOD! Now that's original!
350 miles today to the city park in Muleshoe, Texas.
