A trumpet vine was planted on the front side of the Burnum home place in Delhi, Oklahoma some time prior to 1940 to provide shade on that side of the house. It covered the whole front porch. My Aunt and Uncle brought a start from Oklahoma to Texas and it has done well here - probably because of the heat. Several years ago we took a couple of starts home on the plane with us to Oregon. This year the Oregon plant is doing pretty well. I will post a picture of it when we get home. This picture is the Texas plant.
