So, we thought this would be a nightmare trip with the "little dog". Turned out to be just the opposite. We had so much fun with her, and her and I actually bonded while we were gone. That of course ended abruptly upon our return home! HA! She is definitely Bob's dog! We kept her worn out most of the time. The first picture is in Yellowstone. By about 6:30 every night she was sacked out. The second picture is the night we got home. She was exhausted!! THE END!!!
FRIDAY JUNE 21 - HEADED TOWARDS HOME
This morning it was 26 outside and 38 inside! You can never trust that it will be nice! After breakfast we decided to go ahead and head for home since it was a cold and windy day. Pulled out at 9:30.
Today was a four state day! Drove from Bay Bridge Campground, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming into Montana, then clear across Idaho and ended up in Huntington, Oregon. Parked across from Deven & Cindy's house (Bob's son). Visited with them for a couple of hours then headed home about 6:30 a.m. Dumped the trailer in Oregon City and were home by 1:00.
HAD A GREAT TRIP!! TOTAL 36 DAYS. TOTAL MILES 6,250. LOVE OUR ROAD TRIPS!!

THURSDAY JUNE 20 - 26 DEGREES!
Colder this morning, 26 outside and 40 inside!
Drove to Old Faithful then to the west entrance of Yellowstone. We did not stay to see Old Faithful erupt. It was over an hour wait, we have seen it before, and that is hard to do with a little dog! Got fuel and made a trip to McDonalds. Sat at the entrance to the park and ate lunch. The only animals we saw today were buffalo, and we saw an osprey catch a fish and fly away with it. That was pretty cool.
The little deer we saw yesterday was a mystery. We showed him to 3 different Park Rangers. No one knew what it was. They all said it had some genetic problems and requested we send a copy of the picture of it to the Park Biologist which we will do.
It only got up to 54 degrees today but finally cleared off.

TUESDAY JUNE 18 - YELLOWSTONE PARK
We left Dubois, Wyoming about 7:00, saw deer, antelope, and a cow elk before 7:30 a.m. The cow elk crossed in front of us. Yes, we slowed down and gave her the right-a-way! Got to Bay Bridge Campground and checked in about 10:00. Added two days so the plan is to check out Saturday morning.
After lunch we drove the upper Yellowstone loop from Canyon Village, through Mammoth, and circled back to Canyon Village and back to camp. Saw lots of buffalo, 1 black bear with a 2 year old cub and 1 black bear with 2 little babies. Also saw cow elk in Mammoth. They just lay around town and we are pretty sure they are going to be having babies in the near future. Didn't stay to long there. To many tourists!
