SUNDAY MAY 19 - DAY 2

Left Spokane Valley at 6:30.  Good thing because we forgot about the time change (we lost an hour!). Gorgeous up in the mountains and coming down this side except that it rained all day!  Ruby got in her bed right off the bat for a half hour nap.  Then I put her in it for a couple of short naps.  Today I told her she looks like a hood ornament. She sits on the console with her butt in my left armpit and stares out the front window!  She is doing very well.  We parked next to a semi in a rest stop.  He had a sign on the back of the truck that said 0 to 60 in 15 minutes.  We got a good laugh out of that!  We drove to Harlowton Montana which ended up being 500 miles.  Parked in a city park. Tomorrow we will call Bob's cousin and see if we can see them.  Spoke to soon about the dog.  She bailed off a step or the bed and hurt her leg.  If not better in the morning will start on prescription strength anti-inflammatory meds!
